A rough guide to grind size - 
 
Espresso - Finer than table salt, powder should clump together (approx 15 secs grind time)
Filter or Moka Pot - Around table salt consistency, no clumping but will stay compressed if you put pressure on the grounds. (approx 10 secs grind time)
Cafitiere - Granualted sugar size, bigger particles than any other methos (approx 5 secs grind time)
